Our story began in 2019 when our daughter Morgan needed dependable transportation while attending college at UNCW. We had purchased our 2017 Kia Soul from Paramount Kia in Hickory and had very good service. As a result of this good relationship, we decided to purchase our 2020 Kia Soul. Morgan began to drive the 2017 Kia Soul to college and when she relocated to Charlotte, N. C. for work. In September 2023 during a routine check, oil consumption at disturbing levels was found. Since we were still under the 100,000 mile drivetrain warranty and just over 90,000 miles, we hoped something could be done to remedy the problem. Since Morgan was beginning her new career and getting her first apartment in Charlotte, the thought of replacing the car was too much for us to think about at the time. Paramount Kia of Hickory had us bring the car in and went though many test over the course of several months. With the help of Mr. William Porter and staff of Paramount Kia of Hickory, we were notified in May 2024 that we qualified for an engine replacement. This experience proves blessings are real when working with the right people, having patience, and believing God’s Plan is perfect. We want to thank everyone involved in making this possible including Paramount Kia of Hickory, Mr. William Porter, the entire service department, and most of all, God for never wavering from our needs.
