GR101
A great GR101 moment happened in the Hyundai Service department. Hyundai Service Manager Valerie Rorie went above and beyond to help a lady who had a tire blow out at the intersection of our dealership. She did not drive a vehicle that was purchased from us or had ever been our customer. She came to Hyundai and explained that she was living in her vehicle and only had $10 to her name. She wanted to know if we could help. Valerie decided to see if she could find some safe used tires to put onto the lady’s vehicle. Valerie then said she felt compelled by God to buy the lady a set of new tires out of her own money instead. She reached out to Shawn Yount, our Parts Director, to see what would be her best value to buy tires for the lady. Upon hearing Valerie’s plan to buy them with her own funds, Shawn Yount practiced GR101 and used his miscellaneous budget for the month to purchase the lady’s tires. We often hear Mr. Benny Yount and Mr. Nick Kincaid talk about doing the right thing whether you make money or not. It is good to know we work for a company that operates in that way.”– Chad Woods
