Asheville Customer Service

Last Thursday evening right before our service department closed, they got a call from a frantic customer. The lady on the phone was a mom of two who had brought her car in for service at our dealership and received an EV loaner vehicle. She was driving in a rural part of Haywood County on this cold evening and the vehicle’s battery was almost dead. The customer could not find a charging station and with the diminishing battery, did not know if she had the battery power to idle (and keep her kids warm) until someone could get to her. One of our Service BDC representatives, Sherri, got her call and even though it was the end of her shift, she got permission to take the stranded mom a new loaner and retrieve the EV. Sherri made the trip about 30-40 minutes away to hand off a new car with an almost full tank of gas to the woman to get herself and her kids home. She managed to get the EV to the nearest charging station, letting it charge as much as she could for about an hour. Then, she made the 30-40 minute trip back to our dealership that night to plug the vehicle back up so it would be charged the next morning. In the midst of everything going on, Sherri still communicated with the woman she took the vehicle to, ensuring everyone got home safely. The next day when asked why she chose to help the woman that night she responded, “It was the right thing to do. If it was me stranded, I hope someone would do the same.”. This is simply the kind of person she is, always going above and beyond for anyone who needs it. 💖
